Michael Persley serves as Webmaster for the AGA Southwest Virginia Chapter. He is IT Director/CIO at The Joachim Group CPAs & Consultants, LLC, where he leads technology and builds solutions that modernize and automate financial audit workflows for federal clients.

Michael brings approximately 15 years of experience across accounting, auditing, information technology, and regulatory compliance, including prior service as a DoD Audit Contractor and support of the firm’s DHRA FIAR Support Services contract. His expertise includes federal financial management, DCAA/DCMA compliance, and cybersecurity compliance frameworks including CMMC 2.0.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Sullivan University, is completing a Master of Science in Accounting at Southern New Hampshire University, and is a candidate for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant.
